How do Voltaren Rapid tablets work
Voltaren Rapid tablets contain diclofenac, an anti-inflammatory that reduces pain and helps get you back on your feet again. In fact, they have been clinically proven for pain relief.
Voltaren Rapid tablets are absorbed quickly into your system, so that they are ready to start working on your pain from just 15 minutes.
Voltaren Rapid 12.5 tablets:
Adults and adolescents aged 14 years and over initially take two tablets. Another one or two tablets may be taken every 4 to 6 hours as needed. No more than 6 tablets should be taken in any 24-hour period.
Voltaren Rapid 25 tablets:
Adult: initially take 2 tablets. Another 1-2 tablets may be taken every 8 hours as necessary. Maximum 6 tablets in 24 hours.
14 years - Adult: initially take 1 tablet then 1 tablet every 8 hours as necessary. Maximum 3 tablets in 24 hours.
Voltaren Rapid 12.5 tablets contain diclofenac potassium 12.5 mg.
Voltaren Rapid 25 tablets contain diclofenac potassium 25 mg.
Do not use Voltaren Rapid 12.5:
- In children under 14 years
- If you have a stomach or intestinal ulcer or other stomach disorders
- If you have impaired kidney function, severe liver disease or heart failure
- If you are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin or other anti-inflammatory medicines
- If you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy
- If foil seal over tablets is broken
- Until you read the enclosed leaflet carefully.
Ask a doctor before use if:
- You have asthma
- You are in the first 6 months of pregnancy
- You are trying to become pregnant or breastfeeding.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if:
- You have liver or bowel problems
- You are taking other medicines containing diclofenac, aspirin, or other anti-inflammatory medicines, or other medicines you are taking regularly.
Stop using and see your doctor immediately if: You experience an allergic reaction.
While using this product: Do not use for more than a few days at a time unless a doctor has told you to. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Excessive use can be harmful and increase the risk of heart attack, stroke and liver damage. Contains lactose.
